I am new to MySql and I am trying to setup Apach 2.2.4, PhpMyAdmin 2.10.1, and MySql5. When trying to open PhpMyAdmin in my browser, I get the error: #1045 - Access denied for user 'Root'@'localhost' (using password: no).
Shell> mysql -u root ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) It means a root password has already been assigned during installation and it has to be supplied. Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) Ask Question 3. You must allow remote login on MySQL server to root user using the command below. To allow from localhost. Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' - WAMP server.
I reviewed some of the myriad of problems posted regarding this error. It seems that the error is associated with the use of firewalls. I am using Norton Internet Security and I am going to go in and configure it to allow MySql to use its default port and to make sure the MySql has permissions to run on my computer. Has anyone else had this problem under Norton Internet Security? If so, what did you do to solve the problem? Or could the issue be something else?
I need help with this issue and any help is appreciated.
